Snow, Ice, & Saints

It has been so long since I posted, so I had to include several posts into 1. Recently, we had about 2 inches of snow. We made a sled out of a piece of ply wood that we had in our storage building. Everytime that someone rode on the sled, Gracie Claire was on there, too.

This is Gracie Claire and Mason on the sled with Aunt Mary. Apparantly, Gracie Claire is eating the snow. Normally, this would not bother me, but we were in a cow pasture!

Gracie Claire and I making snow angels. The only 2 things that she wanted to do was to make snow angels and make a snowman. Madelyn did not like the snow, so she just watched.

This is how Gracie Claire and Madelyn like to ride the tricycle. Gracie Claire does the hard part and Madelyn sits back and enjoys the ride.

Mama had a little Saints material, so she made the girls each a dress. She made them when the Saints first started in the playoffs, and here they wore them to church on Superbowl Sunday.

This was back in January. It was so cold that the muddy field behind our house was frozen over, as was the puddles in the field. It also snowed, but they were little flakes and did not stick. This is a picture of the girls breaking the ice in the field.

If you look very closely, you can see a few small snowflakes on Gracie Claire's jacket.

The Polar Express

This weekend, we went to Palestine, TX to ride The Polar Express to the North Pole. Gracie Claire watched the movie for the first time a few weeks ago, and she loved it. When we walked in, we had brownies on our table waiting on us. We had hot chocolate and cookies on the way to and from the North Pole. They had the chefs and the waiters like the movie did. The chefs walked around the whole time talking to the kids and doing things with them. The waiters brought us our hot chocolate and cookies. This is a rather long post because it was difficult to weed out pictures.

Gracie Claire was looking for the North Pole and for Santa. He was waiting for us on his porch.

Santa boarded the train and brought bells to all of the children that believed. Madelyn cried when he was giving her bell to her, and Gracie Claire would not look at me because she was checking out her bell.

The chef came around and danced with the kids while we sang Christmas carols.

Thanksgiving Break

Fall Fun

With the nice weather that we had this past weekend, we spent a lot of time outside. Here are a few pictures of the girls.

Nen asked Gracie Claire where she got her pumpkins. I know she was thinking that Gracie Claire was going to say the pumpkin patch or something like that. But not Gracie Claire, she told her that she got them off of her Mama's door steps. She puts them in the back of her Gator, and I put them up when we go in, the next time we go out, we repeat the cycle. But, that is okay because she was having fun.
