Our Busy Weekend

Our weekend started Friday night with Relay for Life. The girls both had a blast. Gracie Claire did not want to leave at 9. Madelyn was so tired and was asleep by the time they left Oak Grove. Our team had a baseball throwing thing. Of course, both girls loved playing with the balls.

Madelyn and her Poppy playing with the bucket and shovel she got picking up ducks. Apparently, Gracie Claire visited the ducks more than she let on. I took her a couple of times, not knowing her Nen had taken her a few times, also.

We always get ice cream at Relay. Gracie Claire sat her cup down so that she could go play. Madelyn found it-and she loves ice cream.

On Saturday, Ryan and Lacey were up with Kaylee. Rickey put up the girls jumper and got in with Kaylee. I think that they all had a good time.

I think Rickey got a little off balance here. Poor Kaylee!

Don't let this picture fool you. Rickey got on the girls gator and rode it. After a little while, he got Kaylee and roder her.

All of the girls in the wagon. Goldi loves to ride with them. As you can tell, it was starting to get a little dark.

After Kaylee and Gracie Claire got out, Rickey got in. And yes, I pulled them around. I told him quickly that he had to get out!

Gracie Claire was having such a good time that she did not want to go inside. This is her in her bouncer crying because her Daddy cut it off.

Yesterday, we went fishing. This was Madelyn's first fishing trip and her last for a while. She was everywhere. Here is Gracie Claire fishing.

Here she comes to show me the fish that she caught. She was so excited.

Trying to keep Madelyn on the dock was tiresome, so I took her up to the grass. All she wanted to do then was run to the water! Not my idea of fun. It did not take long, and I realized that we should have stayed at home. Overall, I think that we all had fun.

Madelyn is beginning to climb on the chairs that goes with their table. Gracie Claire moves it so that she can get toys and then Madelyn climbs in it.

Gracie Claire loves her rubber boots. Mainly because she can put them on and off all by herself. Here is Madelyn wearing hers for the first time. She was very unsure of walking in them.

Rickey was getting ready to go fishing, and Gracie Claire just had to ride in the boat. So, his solution was to put her and Goldi(the dog) in the boat and drive them down the road and back. Needless to say, I was not to happy with this when I found out, but Gracie Claire thought that it was the greatest thing. This is them coming back into the driveway.

Rickey was digging a ditch and we went to visit. Gracie Claire loved playing in the dirt.

Our First Tractor Ride

While Rickey is off, he has been helping his Daddy in the field. I took the girls to see him and let them ride for a while. Madelyn was not to sure of the tractor, but Gracie Claire loved it. Gracie Claire went again last night, and that is all that she could talk about this morning. She said "Do you remember when I went with my Daddy and rode the tractor, last night?" So sweet! She loves spending time with him.

My Nosey Rosey

No, this is not Madelyn being nosey. This is just typical Madelyn with her legs up. She does it all the time in her stroller. I just thought that it was cute.

I am sure if you ask their Nen, Gracie Claire was trying to get Madelyn to stop!

Madelyn's First Birthday Party

We had Madelyn's first birthday party yesterday. It was so much fun. Since we had an Easter theme, we started with an Easter egg hunt. The kids loved it! Gracie Claire picked up way more than her share of eggs. They had candy, but some had been removed before the hunt, Gracie Claire would pick up an egg and shake it. If the egg was empty, she threw it back down. Madelyn has quickly learned to pick up eggs. Gracie Claire said that she had so much fun. I hope that all of the kids did. Madelyn was asleep at 7 and Gracie Claire went to sleep very quickly after we layed down. Here are a few pictures from the party.

Rickey with Kaylee and Madelyn after the party. Kaylee wanted some of Madelyn's juice, but Madelyn was not wanting to share. They are so sweet together. Madelyn loves to give her sugar, and Kaylee is starting to give it back. So SWEET! There is 6 months difference in their ages. I think they will have so much fun together when they get older.

Madelyn is one today! So sad that my baby is already one and walking everywhere. Here are a couple of the latest pictures that I have of just Madelyn!

Picture Frames

Back in February, Tracey and I had a frame party for Simply Squared Designs(Their blog is over on the right). We both ordered 10X20 frames. Just wanted to them off. We are planning another party for November. Just in time for Christmas!

Kim Danley @ Dreamlife Photography took the pictures of Gracie Claire when Madelyn was a baby(Kim's blog is over on the right, also). She does such a great job and my girls really like her. If the weather clears up, we are suppose to do Madelyn's one year pics, Gracie Claire's three year pics, and a couple of shots as a family this afternoon.

This is the frame that Tracey ordered. Emma's pictures were done by Stephanie Thornton in Lake Providence. I think the green frame brings out the green in Emma's outfit.

Daddy's home
